Community Outreach at Oasis is how we serve and love the City of Los Angeles. We are involved in several strategic partnerships with organizations in LA. Some of our partners provide general support & services and others, through our LA Strong initiative, specifically support the underserved youth of our city.
We have opportunities weekly, monthly and occasionally to join forces with one another and our partners to serve our city and express our Oasis values: We Serve Together, We Give Together, We Pray Together, We Grow Together, We Worship Together & We Eat Together.
Upcoming Serving Opportunities
Alexandria House Community Fridge Group:
Oasis partners with the Alexandria House to support a refrigerator and pantry that provide food and vital supplies to communities through mutual aid. The mission is to strengthen communities and redistribute existing resources by providing tools and frameworks to ensure people-supported, ongoing, equal access to healthy food.
Oasis will stock the fridge every Sunday with fresh food and healthy snacks. Join this group if you would like to serve our Koreatown neighbors!
This group meets in the Oasis Underground every Sunday at 8:45am.
A Place Called Home Serve Group:
Oasis volunteers have partnered with A Place Called Home (APCH) as support for their Family Resource Depot! Every third Tuesday of the month, we’ll team with APCH on their Grocery-Packing Project in Historic South Los Angeles. From 10am to noon, we serve together packing groceries and basic hygiene products for the neighborhood youth to take home. We are so excited to continue this partnership with APCH and to welcome you to join us in meeting the needs of our community!
This group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at A Place Called Home (2830 S Central Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90011) from 10am to Noon.
